Ansie from South Africa

Was this taken around Michigan? Have been there recently, and saw lots of beautiful red barns.

@Ansie: Thanks for visiting, Ansie. So far this year, all of my images have been captured near my home in South Central Pennsylvania.

@Betsy Barron: I could go for a cup of your post today.

Bettina from Los Angeles, United States

Another beautiful morning sky. Your detail in the grass and the mist surrounding your buildings is excellent. I love the barn on the left with the tree. And the road on the right leads our eye into the distance. So beautifully balanced.

22 May 2010 1:23pm

@Bettina: Thanks, Bettina. There are actually sheep running around the barn to the left. At this distance though, they just appear as specks.

Barbara Kile from Ft. Worth, United States

Our morning inspiration - thanks, Larry! How wonderful to be treated with this wonderful sunrise shot. Beautiful, peaceful, and pristine!

Anita from West Nottingham, United States

We had some lovely sunrises this week. Glad you captured one of them.

22 May 2010 5:10pm

@Anita: It's been a fantastic week for morning color. A few days though, when in lasted only 5 minutes, I couldn't find a foreground quickly enough. Picture or no picture, a good sunrise is a wonderful way to start the day. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. :)

trilliana from Munich, Germany

Larry: thanks for sharing about the difficulty of finding a foreground. I've wondered how you manage to find such great shots. I figured you had your special places all picked out. One thing that dissades me from landscape photography is all the driving around I would have to do.
