Just slver tracks trough the farm land... but exquisite compo and colours, beuatiful work Larry!
I love your daily extras site, that a very informative place (and a beautiful gallery in itself), but with some pictures I really have to guess why the pics didn´t make "the first cut", your personally censorship? ;)

@daniela scharnowski: Thanks, Daniela. As for which images make it to the blog ... my little project is to shoot an image every day, and post it the following day, for a year. Some days I get lucky and come away with more than one pic that I like. Which one gets posted here is purely impulsive.

Ah I see. So I can stop looking for blemishes ;)

@daniela scharnowski: Oh, I don't know that they're blemish free, but they are happy to be looked at. :)

I absolutely love that quality of light at dawn when the horizon first blushes with pink and then moves into orange ... and you've captured that first blush beautifully, here. There also is a strong storytelling element to this photograph ... sometimes the tracks/path veer[s] off in a new direction. Expertly composed and photographed, Larry ... once again, you've inspired me with the beauty of your work ... ron

@Florence: Thanks, Florence. It pays to look both ways when crossing the railroad tracks. :)

@Anita: Thanks, Anita. That's what caught my eye.

simple idea and wonderful execution. I like the bent lightpost at the curve of the track. It makes me look to the left and then follow the tracks to the right. Nice.

@shelle: Thanks, Shelle. I always enjoy the subtle details in an image as well.

Great pastel, I keep trying to drag the frame out to the right to see more of where the track goes. best...jerry

@ordinaryimages: The tracks are always shinier around the bend. :)

Very pretty, the reflections on the well polished tracks are pretty amazing too. Really carries that sunset color down.
